Dashboard
At a glance: who's on the floor right now, how production is tracking, and what needs your attention.
Why it matters
The dashboard answers "what's happening in the shop right now?" in one screen. Instead of clicking through to shifts, jobs, and inspections separately, you see the state of the day — who's working, what's in progress, and what needs review — the moment you open the app.
How it works
The dashboard pulls live data from your account every time you load the page. No refresh button, no stale cache — each open gives you the current picture.
- Employee counts come from the kiosk clock-in/out activity
- Job counts come from the status each job is in (scheduled, production, assembly, QA, complete)
- Labor cost is summed from tasks logged this week multiplied by each worker's labor rate
- Flagged shifts and inspection alerts come straight from the review queues
Where to find it
- Page: Dashboard
- Path: admin.fabwise.app (the home page after sign-in)
- Who can see it: Account owners, admins, and managers
What you'll see
Top bar — shop-status roll-ups
Three numbers framing the week:
- Total Labor Costs — dollars of labor logged Monday through Sunday
- Jobs in Progress — count of jobs currently in production, assembly, or QA
- Jobs Completed — jobs that moved to complete status this week
Row 1 — daily + weekly widgets
- Today — how many scheduled shifts were missed today
- This Week — hours worked across the shop this week
- Kiosk Status — "N of M online" with a green dot if every kiosk has checked in recently, amber if some are offline, red if none
- Flagged Shifts — count of shifts waiting on supervisor review
- Shift Inspections — inspections that automatically flagged something for you to look at
Row 2 — production at a glance
- Jobs by Stage — pie chart showing how your open jobs split across scheduled, production, assembly, QA, and completed-this-week. The number in the center is the total
- % Currently Working — share of your active employees in a shift right now, with the "N of M employees" subtitle so you know whether the percentage reflects a slow morning or a near-full shop
Row 3 — Working / Not Working
Two side-by-side lists. Left column shows everyone whose shift is currently in progress, each with their current task and job. Right column shows active employees not currently working. When a list has more than 10 people, it starts collapsed with a "Show names" button — tap to expand.
Row 4 — Need Attention
A short list of items the system flagged for a closer look — jobs over budget, jobs behind schedule, jobs with no activity for 5+ days, and missed start-shift taps. The first three show by default; if there are more, you'll see a "▼ N-3 more" link to expand the rest.
What to do
- Start your day here. Glance at Working and % Currently Working — does the floor staffing match the day's schedule?
- Scan the Need Attention list. Anything red or flagged is a one-click link to the job or shift detail page where you can resolve it
- Check Flagged Shifts before payroll. These are shifts with timing or break issues that need your approval (or adjustment) before they count toward payroll
- Watch the Kiosk Status widget. A red dot means no kiosk has checked in recently — workers might be logging time through another channel or not at all, which means the dashboard won't reflect reality
Common questions
Q: Why is the BREAKS column sometimes showing 0 hours on my payroll report for a shift that had a meal break?
A: Fixed in the 2026-04-23 release. Older shifts scheduled before that release may still show 0 — those are historical and won't be back-filled. Every new scheduled shift prompts the worker at end-shift.
Q: What counts as "Working"?
A: Any active employee whose shift is currently in progress. Personal Time breaks don't take someone out of the Working list — their shift is still in progress.
Q: Why don't I see revenue or customer numbers like I used to?
A: Those were stripped in the 2026-04-23 refresh. Based on customer feedback, the dashboard now focuses on shop status — who's working, what's in progress, what needs review. Financial views live in the Reports section.
Q: How often does the dashboard update?
A: On each page load. There's no live/streaming update — refresh the browser to get the latest numbers.
