Workers ask from the floor
From their Workstation tablet, a worker taps Supplies, picks an item the shop already buys — or types a new one — sets the quantity, snaps a photo, and submits. No prices, no vendors, no hallway. They can watch each request move from requested to ordered — on its way, and cancel one while it's still early.
One queue you clear weekly
Every request lands in the admin Supplies queue. Approve the routine stuff with a tap, reject with a note, or park a borderline item for a quick technical check. Your buy list groups everything you still need by vendor, with product links inline — the one screen to have open at the supplier.
Buy one box of tape and record a single purchase that clears every request for it at once; each worker sees the quantity you bought. Price is optional everywhere — record it only if you want the shop's price memory.
Your catalog remembers, so you don't
The catalog is your shop's reorder list — what you buy, from where, how often. It's memory, not a stockroom count. Last price and last purchase date come straight from your history, so there's nothing to keep in sync. Set a reorder interval and FabWise reminds you when an item's due; skip this cycle when you're not ready, and buying it clears the reminder automatically. If you record prices, a recurring buy that jumped well above last time gets flagged so a quiet price creep doesn't slip by.
